Originally, one March, I’d chosen to stay at Peraia Rooms for a number of reasons:
It had a balcony…
It was by the sea…
And, it’s only a 15min drive to/from the airport!
Later, one October, I returned to this property again…
Purely because the first visit had made me want to return!
PARKING & PERAIA
The first time I arrived in Peraia, I was instantly drawn to it.
Having grown up by the sea, and, after living by the sea for most of my life, it was easy to adapt to this seaside town.
Peraia is right on the waterfront.
You have the most incredible relaxing views every minute you’re there, and, the town is just delightful to spend time in (read more about my time in Peraia HERE!)
What also helped is that, unlike the nearby city of Thessaloniki, there is free parking in Peraia. In the low season (October to March) you’ll most likely be able to park outside the Peraia Rooms building itself, while in the peak season, when the road running parallel to the building is sometimes closed, you still won’t struggle to find a place to park on a street nearby.
I would recommend hiring a car if you’re to visit Peraia, if only because it can be stressful to reach by bus. Car hire can also by arranged via contacting the Peraia Rooms website, too.
PROFICIENCY
If you hadn’t already guessed, the seaside waterfront is the main highlight of Peraia…
And, Peraia Rooms offer the best views of the seafront, by providing studio apartments with balconies!
The water is so close to you that, as you lay on one of the comfortable beds, you’re able to hear the ocean, just metres away…
Speaking of water, it’s worth mentioning that hot water in the bathroom is always readily available, too.
The studio apartments have a kitchenette area, providing enough equipment to cook with. That said, just seconds from the entrance of the building, there are cafes & restaurants everywhere, all of which will not break the bank!
The last time I stayed at Peraia Rooms, I heard that they’re creating a rooftop garden, that’ll give 360views from the highest point of the building!
PAY-OFF
I rarely have places I like to return to, yet Peraia Rooms is one of those places I WILL return to, most probably every time I have to use Thessaloniki Airport.
To be honest, Peraia Rooms (and Peraia) is a great place to stop-off at, even it’s just an overnight visit before you fly home…
The town of Peraia is perfect to walk around; Peraia Rooms are great to relax in; And, the views alone make it all good value for money!
